Tensile Regions

A tensile region is a combination of both drilling-induced tensile fractures and drilling-enhanced natural fractures that may form as a systematic set of repetitive, similar features over a depth range.

The tensile region editor allows you to create, edit or import tensile region information. When importing, the custom column based .txt file is available. Information about the tensile region is available to be imported. This information could include: tensile region depth, orientation, width, and fracture region height. This information can be used in the Get Stress 1 or Get Stress 2 workflow.
